In the twelve months to September 2026, Woollahra recorded 76 house sales at a median of $4.75m — down 5.5% on the year before. The spread is wide: the highest recorded house sale reached $26.4m, while entry to the suburb — excluding outlier transfers — starts around $1.72m.
Apartments changed hands 121 times in the same period — 45 more transactions than houses, at a median of $1.85m. The median unit rent is $975 a week, putting gross yields at 2.7%.
At the 2021 Census the suburb was home to about 7,200 people; 51% of dwellings are apartments, and 35% of households rent.
