In the twelve months to September 2026, Vaucluse recorded 80 house sales at a median of $9.50m — down 7.3% on the year before. The spread is wide: the highest recorded house sale reached $61.8m, while entry to the suburb — excluding outlier transfers — starts around $3.12m.
Apartments changed hands 109 times in the same period — 29 more transactions than houses, at a median of $1.58m. The median unit rent is $975 a week, putting gross yields at 3.2%.
At the 2021 Census the suburb was home to about 9,500 people; 40% of dwellings are apartments, and 24% of households rent.
